KR Liu is the Global Head of Disability Innovation at Google, Brand Studio. For the past 25 years, she has been at the forefront of policy, product and marketing innovation— paving the way for a more inclusive experience for everyone, ushering in groundbreaking AI technologies like Expressive Captions, Live Caption, Guided Frame, and Look To Speak. Diagnosed with severe hearing loss at the age of three, KR has made it her life’s work to advocate for people with disabilities. After successfully lobbying for affordable and accessible hearing aids on Capitol Hill, the Over-The-Counter (OTC) Hearing Aid Act in 2017 passed, allowing for hearing aids to be sold over the counter for the first time in history.

KR serves on several boards including Deaf Kids Code, American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), and was appointed to the United States Access Board in 2022. Most recently, KR was named 2024 Women We Admire Top Women Leaders Honoree, featured on the cover issue of ADWEEK in March 2023, awarded a U.S. Congressional Award, named as Fast Company Queer 50 2022 Honoree, AdAge 2022 Leading Woman honoree, Campaign 40 Over 40, 2021 ADWEEK Creative 100 Honoree, a 2020 ADCOLOR Rockstar Award Nominee, and one of the 2019 top 50 Future Female Leaders by Yahoo! Finance.
