Biography

Jessica Apellániz is Wieden+Kennedy’s inaugural creative leader, joining the agency in January 2023 in Mexico City. She and her team work on several of the agency's clients, including Ford, Nike, AB InBev, Aeromexico, and Uber.

She joined the agency after a very successful stint at Oglivy as Chief Creative Officer for Latin America. At Ogilvy, Jessica created stand-out creative work for Coca-Cola, BP, Mazda, Aeromexico, KFC, Starbucks and American Express, among others. As CCO, she built tailor-made, local, and global multidisciplinary teams, leading to her work being recognised as among the best in the world by various award shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, and the One Show.

As one of the very few women in a creative leading role across LATAM and a mother of two small children at home, Jessica is deeply committed to creating a more diverse and gender-balanced industry in LATAM and across the world.
