Press at Cannes Lions

The world’s leading media outlets in digital, print and broadcast convene at Cannes Lions year on year.

The LIONS press operation doesn’t stop once the Festival is over.

Throughout the year, the Press team is on hand to:

  • provide Festival and Awards information, statistics, insights, images and quotes from our spokespeople
  • connect media with speakers, Jury members and Cannes Lions Award winners for interview
  • support the production of year-round Cannes Lions editorial content
  • manage press accreditation applications ahead of each Festival

Press Centre

During the Festival week, you’ll find the Press Centre on level 4 of the Palais. This is where every press conference will be held across the week, and where you can access a range of media facilities – as well as one of the most beautiful views in the building, ideal for conducting interviews.

The Press Centre is only accessible with a Press Pass. As an accredited member of the press, you’ll have full access to the Cannes Lions Content Programme and Award Shows throughout the Festival, as well as access to our dedicated Press Portal.

The Press Centre is also home to the Lions Daily News office.

Facilities available:

  • work spaces with power supplies
  • lockers on request
  • live seminar streaming area
  • three private interview rooms available for booking
  • printers
  • desktop computers
  • complimentary breakfast and refreshments including tea, coffee and water.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Press Passes are only granted to members of the press who meet the requirements of our Eligibility Criteria (available here). To apply for press accreditation for the 2025 Festival, you must be on assignment from a relevant media outlet or publication. Only actively covering, legitimate, media will be considered for press accreditation solely for the purpose of enabling journalistic reporting and editorial coverage of the Festival.

  • Each individual application for a Press Pass must be supported with a valid Letter of Assignment. A Letter of Assignment will only be valid if it has been written by the assigning editor / producer and contains the following information:

    • description of your relevant media outlet / publication / network / station (as applicable);

    • the name of the individual(s) attending the Festival;

    • the capacity pursuant to which the individual is attending the Festival (journalist, freelancer, contributing author, photographer, analyst, trend forecaster, social media, videographer or production crew); and

    • a copy of your proposed Festival coverage (which, for Social Media Professionals) must include your plan pre-, during and post-Festival.

  • If you have been granted a Press Pass to any previous Festivals, you must supply evidence of the previous coverage you have produced to be reconsidered for a Press Pass for the 2025 Festival.

  • If you are submitting applications for Press Passes for multiple attendees, only one Letter of Assignment is required. However, this must include the required information (as detailed above) for each named individual attending the Festival pursuant to your assignment. You must attach the letter directly to each individual Press Pass application.

  • Other professionals that are not full-time members of the press must register as a delegate to attend the Festival.

    • Press Passes will not be granted to roles that include (but are not limited to) personal assistants, publishers, general managers, account managers, sales representatives, brand ambassadors, PR/marketing and non-editorial media professionals or anyone whose principal purpose for attending the Festival is for reasons other than covering the Festival as working news media.

    • Communities, forums, newsletters and user groups will not be considered for Press Passes.

Press Portal

The Press Portal is home to press kits, press releases, Festival photos, statistics, case studies and embargoed Awards information, all available to download from the password-protected Press Portal.

The Portal is accessible to all Festival-accredited media. When you’re accredited for Cannes Lions 2025, this will be your first source for Festival information before it’s released elsewhere.
