The Future of LIONS Live
A Message from Simon Cook, Managing Director
We’ve been overwhelmed by the level of support and participation across LIONS Live – a platform created by the industry, for the industry. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the members of our community who prioritised creativity and brought their stories, breakthroughs and inspirational thinking to our platform.
We set out to bring the global community together over this week. It is extremely encouraging to learn that so many people agree that creativity really does matter – and that creativity not only has the power to drive business but can play a powerful role in creating the change we want to see in the world.
LIONS Live was born out of crisis, limitation and constraint but has allowed us to bring the very best of our industry to a broad and diverse audience, united in their belief in creative possibility. With so many people willing to share their thoughts and with so many people listening, we don’t feel we can limit the conversation to one week. At an uncertain time, one thing we’re very sure of is that you can’t contain creativity.
Today, we have decided to keep LIONS Live… alive. The full schedule from this week will remain available to watch. We’ll also continue to release new content on the LIONS Live platform, highlighting the voices that need to be heard and the people who have something to say.
Of course, we can’t replace the Festival and we look forward to coming together in 2021. LIONS Live serves a very different purpose. Many thousands of people around the world, within their own countries and contexts, tuned in to learn, be inspired, connect with the global community and be a part of something.
LIONS Live will live on and celebrate a different type of connection, reinforce a sense of belonging regardless of location and unite us in our collective purpose to drive progress through creativity. The full schedule from this week will remain available to watch.
